B L A C K fall winter 2003/2004

Collection is dominantly black in various shades and variations. Fine contrasts lend creations a unique and luxurious look. Line are close to the body, a fabrics combination of shine and matt, and the use of contrasting fabrics create a strong and expressive collection rich with surprises. The strong cuts match perfectly with the refined and elaborate fashion with which the creations are crafted: chiffon blouses on tweed skirts, silk tops with leather trousers, pleated wool fabrics, velvet decorated with Swarovski crystals, and many other things which TAIZA offers for the 2003/2004 fall-winter season.

In choosing fabrics, TAIZA does not focus only on their quality, but also on their variability and ability to lend themselves to combinations. The fine patterns on wool and silk fabrics literally invite you to examine them closer. Wool jackets and coats hemmed with leather, silk blouses with fine embroidery and oversized sleeves. The stretch leather pants are extremely close to the body, the wool trousers very wide. Pant-suits with contrasting decorations justifiably form an integral part of the wardrobe of every contemporary elegant woman.

Another chapter are cocktail dresses, whose cuts and magical colors emphasize their bearer's figure: whether micro-mini or down to the knees, the "little black" still has a strong potential to be "en vogue". Fine patterns, fine stitching and delicate details erase the line separating daily clothes from evening robes.

In contrast to the black ready-to-wear line the TAIZA Couture collection remains colorful and features, traditionally, a luxurious and sophisticated look. Evening robes shine thanks to beaded embroidery in the shades of gold, deep purple, metallic grey, red and turquoise. The refined use of lace and broad taffeta skirts transform their bearer into a true queen of the night.

Out of the continuous partnership of Swarovski came two incredible evening robes with a tiger and a zebra print, where the crystal patterns were composed stone by stone. Several tens of thousands crystals for each print was needed, but even more, months of patience until the crystals started forming the outlines of the animals.

"My Caribbean roots always tend to put a lot of colors in my collection, but this winter collection is significantly different. This is the first time I play with black because it is just naturally elegant and I thought it has been a missing part of my collections for too long." That is how Osmany describes his latest collection, his guideline is and remains keeping the natural elegance of the woman. "I see this business as trying to make women more luscious, sensual, and attractive wearing clothes than being nude. There is nothing great about being an extremely "artistic" designer that needs to deform and ridicule the woman in order to get your name on the covers of fashion magazines", says Osmany.

TAIZA pays tribute to women, their beauty, intellect, and the power of their personality, thanks to which they have, since the beginning of the last century, managed to improve their position and acquire their present status.
